Liam McQuay in 8T is today’s MVD (Most Valuable Dragon).

He is the new Bangkok Patana School record holder for recycling – he brought in 15 bags full of recycling today!

Liam beats his own previous record of 10 bags.  Well done Liam – you’re a true King of Recycling!

Great start to recycling and credits!

Our fantastic Y7s already got us off to an amazing start this morning with more recycling than the bins could possibly take – it was piled up on the top too!

The credits that they earned have shot us into the lead for Credits too – just look at that compared to the other houses!

Who’s going to be the first KS4 student to get us a Commendation and put us into the lead there too?!

From 1st to last... ...to 2nd! 

So proud of you guys for your superb recycling efforts this week which well and truly saw off the threat from Chang to overtake us.  And it paid off big time – we’ve shot back into 2nd place overall!  Well done!

Two things you can do to help us overtake the Lanta Lions again after Christmas:

1.   Don’t put it in the bin!

All of those Christmas cards, all that wrapping paper, the cardboard boxes your presents come in, the cans and bottles from Christmas refreshments: don’t bin it, save them up and bring them in next term!

2.   Submit to Core

Tita is a Y11 Dragon who is Editor of Core magazine.  She would like you to make submissions to Core for publication.  As well as the opportunity to see your work published, you also get to earn House Points for Samui

“#Core is the school’s one and only student run literary and art magazine that aims to display distinguished, creative and expressive pieces of writing or art by the student body. All submissions are put through a selection process where only the best pieces of work will become published in our annual magazine. Submissions are open to students from years 7-13 and we highly encourage students to submit their pieces of writing or art. Core is a professionally printed magazine that is read by the entire Patana secondary community, whether it be students, teachers or parents, so don’t miss out on an opportunity to get your talent recognized. Core also has the anonymous option for people who would rather not have their names printed in the magazine. So submit to Core today, by sending your entries in to coremagazine@patana.ac.th What’s on your mind?”

Have a great Christmas! J

Go SAMUI!
