Can you believe it? We ran faster, jumped higher and threw further than anyone else and scored a winning 1075 points for the track and field events. We destroyed the other houses at Tug-o-war. We cleverly played our joker on the boys discus and our throwers did us proud with a whole host of medal finishes. But this year, after winning these events last year, our alternative events let us down. We had great participation in these events with lots of people taking part, but maybe we lacked the urgency necessary to beat the other houses.
Still, second place is a great achievement of which we can be proud. And we’re still ahead of Phuket in the overall House Points competition…
…but you can see that it’s getting close. Please make sure that you support Samui to maximise our house points for the rest of this term – you can help out by bringing in recycling (don’t forget your tetra-paks!) and reminding teachers to give you credits and commendations when you’ve done something worthy of a reward.
In short, keep up the good work!
